GETTING OUTDOORS WITH UNITED BY BLUE

I am loving the changing weather.  I’ve been able to barbecue.  We made a day of going to the Tulip Festival.  We’ve been going to the Zoo.  I love that, because we have year passes that have been going to waste.  It rains so much in Portland a 1 year pass grants  only six months of fair weather visitation.

It’s great to be more active and to take the babies outside.  We try to take them out once or twice a week, rain or shine, but it’s really nice when the sun is out and we can actually have fun outside together.

My new favorite shirt is my go to apparel for these excursions, which is why I can be seen wearing it anytime we go out as a family.  I featured this shirt on my gift guide.  It’s one of two items I received from United By Blue.  The other was an awesome toiletry case made from recycled water bottles.

Responsible and Durable Goods

For comfort and utility the Fife is by far the best shirt to venture outdoors and to travel in.  In fact, I wanted to test this shirt out specifically as a traveler to see how it holds up and I couldn’t be happier.  I mentioned some of the key elements of the shirts design on my gift guide, but I also want to mention United By Blue’s cleanup efforts and commitment to the environment.

out of the strollerUnited By Blue removes one pound of trash for every item sold.  They summon the help of volunteers and get down in the trenches to make a difference.  Since the first shirt sold 8 years ago United By Blue has hosted 210 cleanups and removed over 1 million pounds of trash.

You can find out more about United By Blue and the stylish, high quality, environmentally sustainable clothing for both men and women here.  Also, follow them on Instagram and Facebook @UNITEDBYBLUE.
